One of the strangest of human animals is the Malthusian. It is a being that, philosophically and to it's core, believes above all else that there must be scarcity. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day, but Malthusians have continued to be so wrong that they need to work hard to create the conditions that prove out their beliefs. Whether it's overpopulation, global heating, global cooling, or too much of one molecule or another Malthusians have been repeatedly more wrong than bums on street corners with "The End is Near" signs since 1766. The desire to be right when being right means people suffering must come with an odd psychology.
Perhaps stranger and deserving of even less respect, if that is even possible, is the self unaware Malthusian. You know the one that at some point in time warned you that you face was not covered enough. This is a person programmed and ready to fervently join the Malthusian ranks once triggered. The self unaware Malthusian will warn you that by not complying with their newfound and often fabricated dilemma you are imperiling the whole planet like mockingbirds repeat songs.
Like some maximum overlap zone in a Venn diagram a relative crossover point exists at the intercept region between inept experts, bad policies, mandates, and fear. The exact crossover point where one starts to suspect there may be a little more than meets the eye is likely a very individual point for each person. The now regular mention of overpopulation, ending of farming, 15 minute quarantine zones (or cities if you prefer), a need for digitally tracked currency, and a rush to centralize decisions at a world level helps expedite further critical thinking, at least for those who are prone to occasionally find themselves thinking independently.
I've tried varying combinations of voting harder, watching closer, informing others, and fact checking supposed fact checkers. All combinations have lead to a mild, or worse, level of frustration. I've discovered that I thoroughly enjoy the process of creating systems that assist others who are working toward becoming more self reliant and uncoupled from the scarcity matrix. I hope to curate some off their own articles, products, and services here.
As we careen toward a seemingly likely fabricated scarcity cycle whether it be a liquidity crisis, drummed up war cycle, another flu season, too many bovine flatulence, or all the above and more I'll be here with the help of others building toward a less centralized and healthier social structure.
